BY WILLIAM WATTING
William Watting was an American born architect who moved to Denmark after world war II, where he designed some important pieces during the 50’s and 60’s.
Some of his cabinets/sideboards were produced by the Dutch company Fristho, but his most interesting piece is this wonderful bench/console that was produced by Danish cabinetmaker Mikael Laursen, who also produced pieces for Wikkelso, Wegner and Kofod-Larsen.
This bench/console (at the time with optional shelves on top) is in solid teak and has a refined perforated base, rounded legs and edges and other nice details. The piece is in mint condition.
