UNIQUE MONUMENTAL CERAMICS
BY ARTHUR ANDERSSON
Arthur Andersson (died in 1978) was a Swedish ceramics artist, famous for his work for Wallakra studio (founded in 1864) during the 40’s and the 50’s of the 20th century.
Typical for Andersson’s stretched oval designs are the formal symmetry and the incised banded ornaments, combined with a soft, faded coloration.
These three 1940/50’s vases are uniques and signed AWA and Wallakra on the bottom. Very good condition.
Height: ca 30cm (smallest), ca 50cm (largest)
